The Shreveport area has topped the state in a recently released survey of rental rate increases.
The local increases are not only the highest in the state, but in the south as a whole, said Rentometer, the company who crunched the numbers.
The survey said local median rents for three-bedroom rental homes were up 12.2% in the first six months of this year vs. 2.3% from the same six-month period in 2024. Shreveport outpaced the 2.8% in Lafayette, the 2.3% increase in New Orleans and Baton Rouge, where the price stayed flat…
