DHS: 3 children test positive for drug exposure at McMinnville home, 2 adults arrested

MCMINNVILLE, Ore. — Three children found living at a suspected drug house in McMinnville all tested positive for fentanyl and amphetamines, Oregon DHS officials said, adding that deputies also arrested a registered sex offender who was also living at the home.

Detectives with the Yamhill County Street Crimes and Narcotics Team say they served a search warrant last Thursday (July 17) at a home on Southwest Mt. Rainier Street in McMinnville. They arrested 35-year-old Shane Cooper and 34-year-old Sarah Ramirez, and took Ramirez’ three children into protective custody.

While searching the home, narcotics investigators found evidence of fentanyl dealing that could “elevate the case to a commercial drug offense,” as well as meth possession evidence…
