HOUSTON (KIAH) – Texas lawmakers are conducting joint hearings of the House and Senate to try and figure out how to improve emergency communication systems following the devastating floods in July that claimed dozens of lives.
This week, the state’s special session, has had lawmakers and state emergency leadership in talks on an array of topics including response time, funding, technology and organization behind the to the July Fourth floods in order to find solutions.
