Augusta’s biggest arts celebration, the Arts in the Heart of Augusta Festival, shifts to Reynolds Street and the Savannah River area this Sept. 19-21. Construction on Broad Street pushed organizers to make the change.
Three stages will line the waterfront stretch. Musicians will play jazz at the 8th Street Market entrance. Inside the Augusta Marriott, the Soul Suite Stage will pump out rhythm and blues. Local acts will perform at the Jessye Norman Amphitheater by the river.
Artists from across the nation will show their work at 150 booths. Food will be served from 19 booths. Visitors can taste meals from China to Greece, Germany to Thailand, and sample Indian spices…
