Amherst, N.Y. (WBEN) – An off-duty Cheektowaga policeman is under review after displaying his firearm while off duty at Glen Oaks golf course back in June.
The off-duty officer hit a golf ball near another group of golfers, causing them to approach the officer. An argument broke out, and when one of golfers from the group followed the officer to his cart, he then retrieved his firearm from his golf bag. The off-duty officer placed it down at his side pointed towards the ground while telling the man to get back.
Amherst Police conducted an investigation, and concluded that no arrests were needed, but the incident would be documented and reported…
