Buffalo Convicted Felon Arrested On Federal Firearms Offense

BUFFALO, NY.- A 29-year-old Buffalo, New York, man, who was first charged earlier this month by the Buffalo Police Department with narcotics and weapons offenses, is facing up to 15 years in federal prison after being taken into custody and charged last Friday by federal criminal complaint with an alleged federal firearms violation.
According to U.S. Attorney Michael DiGiacomo, on Friday, July 18, Aden Ibrahim, 29, of Buffalo, New York, was taken into custody and charged with being a Prohibited Person in Possession of a Firearm, Convicted Felon. Following his arrest, Ibrahim made his initial appearance before U.S. District Court Judge Michael J. Romer in the Federal Court in Buffalo, New York, and was ordered detained pending trial.

According to the charging information filed in the criminal complaint, during the morning hours of Wednesday, July 9, 2025, members of the Buffalo Police Department responded to a 911 Emergency Call reporting an unwelcomed guest at a Woodette Place residence in the City of Buffalo.
