KNOX COUNTY, Tenn. — East Tennesseans are mourning the death of Caleb Heath, a critical care and flight paramedic from Corryton who served several communities in the area and saved numerous lives.
“Today we mourn the loss of former Critical Care Paramedic Caleb Heath. Caleb fought very hard through a difficult disease to provide life-saving pre-hospital care to others. We offer prayers to his family, friends and colleagues!” Sevier County EMS said Thursday. “Rest easy young man and thank you for your service and dedication to Sevier County.”
Heath worked primarily in Knox and Sevier counties and was a 2015 Gibbs High School graduate. According to his bio, he battled cystic fibrosis his entire life, which is a life-threatening genetic condition that damages the lungs. He refused to let his condition define him or hold him back…
