‘Tightening the reins’: MSU to lay off more employees

EAST LANSING, Mich. (WLNS) – Layoffs at Michigan State University have already begun, and there are plans for more.

University officials say the layoffs are due to a decrease in federal funding mixed with an increase in operating costs. The university has already confirmed that it is laying off nine workers from the radio station, WKAR, and more than a hundred workers from MSU Extension.
