A La Grange man was arrested Monday after allegedly shooting a father and son near Basso Bridge in rural Stanislaus County, prompting a SWAT team response and the seizure of a stockpile of illegal firearms and silencers, authorities said.
Deputies responded around 6:30 p.m. to reports of gunfire at the popular river access point in Waterford. There they found Christopher Todd, 43, and his son, Cody Todd, 18, of La Grange, both suffering from gunshot wounds that were not life-threatening, according to the Stanislaus County Sheriff’s Office. Christopher was taken to a hospital while Cody was treated at the scene.
