Bomb threat on a note given to Hilmar bank teller, deputies say

HILMAR, Calif. (KSEE/KGPE) – A man was arrested Thursday for providing a bank teller in Hilmar a note saying he had a bomb and demanded money, the Merced County Sheriff’s Office said.

Randy Casey, 58, was named by deputies as the person who gave the teller the note.

At around 10:45 a.m. at Westamerica Bank in Hilmar, dispatch received a call of a silent alarm for a burglary in progress. Deputies who arrived at the scene said they located Casey within minutes as he was waiting outside the bank…
