NORTH SYRACUSE, N.Y. (WSYR-TV) — The North Syracuse School District is gaining state-wide attention for being one of the first to submit its plan to the State Education Department that enacts the governor’s cell phone ban this fall.
The Board of Education approved the district’s policy on Monday.
Students at Cicero-North Syracuse High School and North Syracuse Junior High School will be individually assigned pouches that will lock their cell phone in for the duration of the school day. A push-button engages the lock in the morning and a magnet unlocks the pouch at the end of the day…
