EL PASO, Texas (KTSM) — The sentencing hearing for the Fort Bliss soldier who was convicted of murdering his wife back in 2020 is set to begin on Thursday, July 24, according to the El Paso County District Attorney’s Office.

The DA’s Office says the sentencing hearing for Linwood Smith, 26, is expected to take place Thursday morning at the County Courthouse in Downtown El Paso.
As we have previously reported, Smith’s trial began earlier this month for the homicide of his 21-year-old wife, Kerica Robinson.
