Areas of central Kansas, including around Wichita, could see heavy rain overnight Thursday into Friday that could cause flash flooding, the National Weather Service in Wichita said.
Flood watches across the state include Wichita and areas to the north and northeast. The biggest concern in central Kansas is north of Wichita, in Saline County and its neighbors, which saw multiple inches of rain on Monday, NWS meteorologist Scott Smith said.
