WICHITA, Kan. (KSNW) — The Kansas Food Bank is giving out free five-day meal packs to kids 18 and under to help “fill the gap” before school starts.
Nurse shortage threatens WIC program in Kansas county
No sign-up is needed, but kids must be there in person to get the meals.
Pickup times are 12 to 1 p.m. on Monday, July 28, and Monday, Aug. 4. Sites in Haysville and Oaklawn will only offer meals on Aug. 4.
- Colvin Neighborhood Resource Center – 2820 S. Roosevelt (South/Southeast Wichita)
- Evergreen Neighborhood Resource Center – Parking lot at 2700 N. Woodland (North/Northwest Wichita)
- HealthCore Clinic – 2707 E. 21st St. N. (North/Northeast Wichita)
- Oaklawn Activity Center – 4904 S. Clifton (Aug. 4 only)
- Haysville United Methodist Church – 601 E. Grand Ave., Haysville (Aug. 4 only)
Each meal pack includes five days’ worth of breakfasts and lunches.
