‘This event is what makes Boise so special’: 2,200 athletes set to compete in Ironman 70.3 Saturday

BOISE, Idaho — About 2,200 athletes will descend on Boise this Saturday for the Ironman 70.3 triathlon, one of the largest events of its kind in the country.

The race consists of a 1.2-mile swim, a 56.7-mile bike ride and a 13.1-mile run, totaling 70.3 miles. The race concludes at Julia Davis Park.
