Threats towards tribal officials sparks investigation

SIOUX FALLS, S.D. (KELO) – Cheyenne River Sioux Tribe (CRST) law enforcement is investigating threats that have been made towards a group of tribal leaders.

CRST law enforcement posted a press release on their Facebook page, noting that the person responsible for the threats has been identified, and that a search is currently underway to locate their whereabouts.

According to a news release, there’s no known threat to the general public, and no cause for alarm. Officers and other agencies are working to locate the individual and bring them into custody.
