ALBANY, N.Y. (WETM) — A local attorney who practiced law in several capacities in Schuyler and Chemung counties over the years was charged in July on numerous felony charges relating to instances that happened over several years, according to information from the City of Albany Court.
Jessica M. Saks was charged on Tuesday, July 22, in an Albany City Court on the charges of offering a false instrument for filing in the first degree, a class E felony, and grand larceny in the third degree, a class D felony.

Court documents allege that between January 1, 2020, and March 25, 2024, Saks intentionally and unlawfully submitted 55 vouchers to the Appellate Division, 3rd Judicial Department Office of Attorneys for Children, a political subdivision of the State of New York, knowing they contained false information as to the expenses in the vouchers.
