A Bakersfield diner staple has expanded its breakfast and lunch options to the Central Coast.
Honey I’m Home Pismo Cafe opened its doors on the Fourth of July at 620 Cypress St. in Pismo Beach, and its name serves its exact purpose — beyond breakfast and lunch dishes, the cafe is meant to provide a home-away-from-home atmosphere much like its original location in Bakersfield.
“The whole idea here is we’re all family, and we never get a chance to see each other,” co-owner Edward Smith told The Tribune. “What we’ve done is developed a home base. We’re carrying that on here with a whole new group of folks, new location, same idea, same method of customer experience.”…
