Charleston County celebrates 35 years of the Americans with Disabilities Act

NORTH CHARLESTON, S.C. (WCBD) – Charleston County is marking a major milestone celebrating 35 years since the Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA) was passed.

The law, which went into effect in 1990, helped open doors for people with disabilities to live, work, and thrive in their communities. Today, its impact is still being felt and celebrated.
