COLUMBUS, Ga. (WTVM) – Another decent potential for scattered showers and storms Thursday should keep our heat to a minimum for this time of year at least. Rain coverage will decrease each day starting Friday through early next week, which in turn will allow temperatures to rise.
Partly to mostly cloudy on this Thursday. A stray shower is possible in the morning, but rain coverage will climb to 40 or 50% during the afternoon and early evening with scattered showers and storms in the forecast, especially starting around 2 PM ET. There could be a bit of a breeze at times. That will generally push the storms from southeast to northwest. Highs in the upper 80s and low 90s.
A chance of rain and storms continues Thursday evening through about 9 or 10 PM. Partly cloudy overnight. Lows early Friday will be in the low to mid 70s.
Friday is our transition day as we’ll have more sun mixing in with the clouds and the showers and storms during the afternoon more spaced out. Rain coverage looks closer to 30%. Highs in the low 90s area-wide…
