In a recent showcase of interdepartmental collaboration, Columbus Division of Police Officer Travis Tucker received public commendation for his role in the apprehension of a suspect wanted for drug trafficking. According to a social media post by the Columbus Division of Police, Officer Tucker and the Community Response Team (CRT) were pivotal in arresting Eder Mario Beltran-Hernandez, a suspect who had been evading law enforcement since 2017 and was reportedly involved in distributing narcotics like fentanyl, heroin, cocaine, and methamphetamine across Central Ohio.
After receiving a tip from a Dublin Police investigator that Beltran-Hernandez was back in Ohio, Officer Tucker coordinated with fellow Columbus Police Department officers for a strategic traffic stop that led to the suspect’s arrest.
