GRAND RAPIDS, MI – A state-of-the-art sea lamprey barrier will be part of the long-delayed stream restoration project in the Grand River in Grand Rapids thanks to a $2.1 million grant from the Environmental Protection Agency.
The money will be used for the pre-barrier construction work and design of a new sea lamprey barrier, said Ethan Baker, Commission Chair of the Great Lakes Fishery Commission (GLFC).
