Auto shop fire closes street in northwest Fresno

FRESNO, Calif. (KSEE/KGPE) – A car fire inside an auto shop temporarily closed a street in northwest Fresno, according to the city’s fire department.

Around 5:30 p.m. Thursday, firefighters responded to the area of Herndon and Blackstone avenues in Fresno for a report of a structure fire.

Upon arrival, fire crews learned a car inside German Auto Repair caught fire. No damage to the building was reported, but northbound Blackstone was temporarily shut down from Herndon to Sierra avenues.

The cause of the fire is unknown…
