AUGUSTA, Mich. — Storms rolled through West Michigan Thursday evening, leaving behind damage and flooding in certain parts of the area.
The owner of a vehicle who was near the Fort Custer Recreation Area in Augusta told News Channel 3 he was sitting in the driver’s seat when lightning struck. He was able to escape before the truck was engulfed in flames, and said he wasn’t hurt.
A News Channel 3 photographer, who was in the area at the time for storm coverage, spoke to first responders who said the man is “lucky to be alive.”…
