Heat advisory issued for central Pa. today as temperatures climb

Central Pennsylvania is bracing for extreme heat Friday, with a heat advisory issued for several counties and heat index values reaching or exceeding 100 degrees, posing significant health risks to residents.

The National Weather Service advisory is in effect from 11 a.m. to 8 p.m. for multiple counties, including Perry, Dauphin, Lebanon, Cumberland, Adams, York and Lancaster.
