Nicholasville flooded with emergency vehicles after fake child abduction report

NICHOLASVILLE, Ky. (FOX 56) — A scary situation unfolded in Nicholasville Wednesday night as a large number of emergency vehicles gathered downtown.

According to the Nicholasville Police Department, officials responded to a report of a child abduction. The report ultimately proved to be inaccurate, and the police confirmed that everyone involved was safe.

A woman was contacted by an unknown individual and made to believe her adult daughter was in danger, the police said.
