Artist behind Louisville’s snow song, ‘Bellavia,’ has died

LOUISVILLE, Ky. — The composer of Louisville’s snow song, ‘Bellavia,’ has died.

Chuck Mangione died at his home in Rochester, New York, on Tuesday in his sleep, said his attorney, Peter S. Matorin of Beldock Levine & Hoffman LLP, the Associated Press reported. The musician had been retired since 2015. He was 84 years old.
