NORFOLK, Va. (WAVY) — A man was sentenced to a year and a half in prison after he pled guilty to burglarizing restaurants in Downtown Norfolk and Ghent in 2024.
On July 23, 2024, Joseph Overman and another man broke into a restaurant on Granby Street in Downtown Norfolk around 11:30 a.m. They stole beer kegs, an ice tank and several patio chairs.
Norfolk Police investigators reviewed surveillance footage and identified Overman as one of the two burglars. Police then secured arrest warrants against him for burglary and grand larceny based on their investigation and the value of the stolen items…
