Programs offer relief from summer’s spike in energy bills

ROCHESTER, N.Y. (WROC) — After the Bills’ training camp, Rochester residents were looking to cool off Thursday afternoon with temperatures hovering in the mid-90s. However, as residents’ air conditioners were kicked into high gear, so too were their energy bills.

“I keep the air conditioning running all summer long to keep it cool,” Rochester resident Damon Cottle said. “But when nighttime comes, I turn the air conditioner off.”
