AUSTIN (KXAN) — A man was sentenced July 2 following a plea deal related to a fatal shooting in downtown Austin in March 2021.
According to Travis County court records, 26-year-old Adriean Dewayne Benn waived his right to a jury trial and entered a guilty plea.
Records showed Benn received a five-year deferred adjudication sentence on a charge of second-degree manslaughter. The charge was related to the death of 24-year-old Jorian Donte Hardeway, which occurred March 14, 2021, at a downtown Austin club.
