Child Predator on Texas Most Wanted List Finally Captured

A man from Texas’ 10 Most Wanted Fugitives List was finally caught and arrested after a warrant was issued for his arrest for sexual assault of multiple children as young as 8 years old.

The Arrest of Fugitive Jacob Kessler

Jacob Aaron Kessler, 41, was arrested on July 18 following efforts led by the U.S. Marshals Gulf Coast Violent Offenders Fugitive Task Force. Kessler was located at a residence in Houston where officials were quick to apprehend and arrest the wanted man.

In addition to the Gulf Coast task force, Kessler’s arrest was also due in part to the DPS (Department of Public Safety) Criminal Investigations Division, Texas Highway Patrol, Nacogdoches County Sheriff’s Office, Houston Police Department, Harris County Sheriff’s Office, Pasadena Police Department, and the Harris County Precinct 1 and 5 constable’s offices.

Jacob Kessler’s History of Sexual Assault

Kessler’s first conviction was back in 2011 where he was charged with sexual assault of a child and indecency with a child by sexual contact, according to a release from Texas DPS.

Both incidents involved a 15-year-old girl and an 8-year-old girl, respectively. As a result, he was sentenced to nine years in prison for each offense which he served at the same time.

In April, 2025, Kessler received a warrant for his arrest after reoffending with two counts of aggravated assault of a child and one count of aggravated sexual assault…
