CALDWELL, Idaho — On Wednesday, a Canyon County man was sentenced to life in prison for the first-degree murder of his stepson, 21-year-old Danny Borges.
According to a news release from the Canyon County Prosecutor’s Office, the sentence was handed down to Felix Santiago-Torres on July 23.
“The conviction stems from an incident on April 17, 2024, when Torres shot and killed Danny Borges following a domestic dispute involving Borges’ mother. After an argument escalated into a physical confrontation, Torres retrieved a firearm and fatally shot Borges outside the family home,” said the news release…
