(EL PASO COUNTY, Colo.) — The El Paso County Sheriff’s Office (EPSO) has launched an investigation after an inmate died at the El Paso County Jail.
At around 6:47 p.m. on Thursday, July 24, a 47-year-old woman in custody was found unresponsive in her cell at the jail. Deputies and medical staff responded and began rendering lifesaving efforts and immediate medical care.
At around 6:57 p.m., medical personnel with the Colorado Springs Fire Department (CSFD) and the American Medical Response (AMR) arrived and assumed medical care. At 7:40 p.m., she was pronounced dead, and life-saving efforts stopped…
