The Verde River Water Storage project is preparing to take its next step: Constructing a taller Bartlett Dam.
The Salt River Project (SRP), the U.S. Department of the Interior, Bureau of Reclamation, City of Peoria and 22 other cities and agencies across Arizona are working together to protect the state’s future water supply.
“We don’t want to continue to lose storage capacity,” said Jacob Rodriguez, senior manager for water system projects at SRP. “The additional storage space could serve as an additional source of water for those that are reliant upon the Colorado River system.”…
