HONOLULU (HawaiiNewsNow) – The annual Queen Liliʻuokalani Keiki Hula Competition is all about showcasing the talent in young hula dancers.

Much like the format of the Merrie Monarch Festival, the three-day Keiki Hula Competition kicks off Thursday with soloists competing for title of Master and Miss Keiki Hula.

It’s often a stepping stone for the dancers who win as they go on to do great things in the hula world…
