Lori Vallow Daybell to be Sentenced in Arizona Court

Lori Vallow Daybell, also known as the “Doomsday mom,” is scheduled to be sentenced in an Arizona court on Friday. This sentencing follows her convictions on two counts of conspiracy to commit murder. Vallow Daybell is already serving life sentences in Idaho for the murders of her two youngest children and her romantic rival.

The Arizona convictions relate to the 2019 deaths of Charles Vallow, her fourth husband, and the attempted murder of Brandon Boudreaux, her niece’s ex-husband. Vallow Daybell represented herself in both trials.

In the case of Charles Vallow’s death, she claimed her brother, Alex Cox, shot him in self-defense. Cox died later that year and was never charged.

Regarding the attempted murder of Boudreaux, Vallow Daybell denied any involvement.

This sentencing marks the end of a complex, multi-state legal saga involving doomsday religious beliefs. The case garnered national attention in 2019 after the disappearance of Vallow Daybell’s children, Tylee Ryan and Joshua “JJ” Vallow. Their remains were later found on the property of Chad Daybell, Vallow Daybell’s current husband and a doomsday author.

Chad Daybell was convicted last year for the murders of Tylee, Joshua, and his first wife, Tammy Daybell, and received the death penalty. Vallow Daybell was also convicted in Idaho in 2023 for the murders of her children and conspiracy to kill Tammy Daybell.
