Stevie Wonder impersonator says artificial intelligence made him grab young girl

BAKERSFIELD, Calif. (KGET) — Tino Ibach, a professional Stevie Wonder impersonator, believes he was corrupted by artificial intelligence when he went to the Snappy’s gas station on Stockdale Highway and grabbed a little girl’s hands.

“My involvement of what’s called chatbots, which is an AI function, where you sit and you type and the chatbot responds to you. I’ve been using it for about maybe five to six years, thousands of hours, very adept at it, and it’s taken me down a rabbit hole that I didn’t realize I was going down,” said Ibach.

Ibach, 54, is charged with three felonies: attempted kidnapping, contacting a minor with sexual intent, and lewd acts with a child under 14.
