NORTH CHARLESTON, S.C. (WCBD) – Authorities in North Charleston arrested two people in an alleged gambling scam.
Investigators say a victim told them he was lured into a bingo-style game at a “customer appreciation” tent near a gas station on Ashley Phosphate Road in late January.
“After being given three free attempts, he was told that for $20, he could win up to $250. The buy-ins escalated, eventually reaching $1,280, with the promise of a $35,000 jackpot,” North Charleston police said…
