Cumberland County is continuing its Request for Information (RFI) process to identify qualified providers to operate a temporary emergency shelter for individuals experiencing homelessness. To expand opportunities for participation and support broader community input, the submission deadline has been extended to Thursday, Aug. 8, 2025, at 5 p.m.
This continued opportunity reflects the County’s commitment to engaging a wide range of community partners and gathering comprehensive information to guide the implementation of a temporary emergency shelter solution.
Key Dates
- RFI Rereleased: July 25, 2025
- RFI Responses Due: Aug. 8, 2025, by 5 p.m.
Interested parties, including nonprofits, businesses, and other potential partners, are encouraged to respond. Submissions may propose to:
- Provide emergency shelter services;
- Offer a facility suitable for temporary shelter operations; or
- Deliver both shelter services and facility space.
“We know that real solutions require real collaboration,” said Cumberland County Board of Commissioners Vice Chairwoman Veronica Jones in a press release. “This extension is not about restarting the process; it’s about expanding the circle. We value those who’ve already responded, and we want to make sure every qualified voice has a chance to be heard. Together, we can create a shelter system that truly serves our neighbors with dignity and care.”…
