Gannon’s Wehrle Hall completely torn down, Norman House to take its place

Gannon University’s Wehrle Hall has reached its last stage of deconstruction.

The well-known red building on the corner of West 6th and Sassafras streets has been completely torn down.

Memorial golf scramble raises money for student-athletes

This is in preparation for the historic Norman House that will be picked up and put in that location.

Gannon is working with the Historic Preservation Trust to make this happen.

“The Norman House is a, I think, about a 140-year-old home, and it’s made of bricks, and so you need to fortify it for the move,” said Doug Oathout, Chief of Staff at Gannon University. “It also needed a great deal of upgrades and attention because it had been empty for a few years.”…
