LONDON, KY — Laurel County Sheriff John Root is reporting that: Laurel Sheriff’s drug interdiction unit Justin Taylor along with Deputy Zach Allen arrested Logan James Cottrell, age 30, of Garden City Dr., Richmond, KY on Tuesday night July 22, 2025 approximately 10:57 PM.
The arrest occurred on I–75 approximately 10 miles north of London following a traffic stop conducted on a gray colored Toyota Camry for a traffic violation. During the stop the driver, identified as Logan James Cottrell was found in possession of suspected cocaine. In addition this subject was found in possession of a snorting straw, marijuana, and digital scales.
Logan Cottrell was charged with:
- Possession of a controlled substance – first-degree – first offense – cocaine
- Possession of marijuana
- Possession of drug paraphernalia
