Georgia woman pleads guilty to cyberstalking, threats in fake adoption scheme

NASHVILLE, Tenn. (WKRN) — A Georgia woman has pleaded guilty to harassing two Middle Tennessee couples looking to adopt a baby, the U.S. Attorney’s Office announced Friday.

According to Acting U.S. Attorney Robert McGuire, Gabryele “Gabby” Watson, 29, impersonated a pregnant teenager to the couple, who had sought to adopt a baby for eight years.

According to the USAO, Watson cyberstalked one Middle Tennessee couple (Victims One and Two) in May and June of 2023 using the assumed identity of a real pregnant 16-year-old in Pennsylvania…
