JACKSON COUNTY, Fla. (WKRG) — A two-vehicle crash in Jackson County has led to the fatality of one of the drivers, according to a release from the Florida Highway Patrol.
As an SUV driven by a 57-year-old Navarre man was traveling westbound on I-10, it approached a semi-truck driven by a 41-year-old Calera man that was parked facing west on the north paved shoulder and in the outside westbound lane.
Mobile apartment complex overrun with trash and critters
The driver of the SUV, who was reportedly not wearing his seatbelt, did not slow down or merge to the inside lane, striking a sign, then colliding with the trailer attached to the semi-truck.
The Navarre man died as a result of the crash, while the Calera man did not sustain any injuries, the release said…
