Philadelphia police are investigating a double shooting in the Hunting Park neighborhood that has left one man clinging to life and a community on edge. Around 8 p.m. on Thursday, officers responded to 911 calls of gunfire near the northbound off‑ramp of Roosevelt Boulevard and North 5th Street, where they found a 23‑year‑old woman and a male passenger inside a sedan with gunshot wounds.
“Chief Inspector Scott Small said the woman, who was driving, was struck in the arm and is in stable condition at Einstein Medical Center,” according to Philadelphia Police, “while the male passenger sustained multiple gunshot wounds and was unresponsive when first responders arrived.
