WEST SACRAMENTO, CA –– “This afternoon, one of our Motor Units was conducting traffic enforcement in the area of Park Blvd and 19th Street when he observed a vehicle traveling at 42mph in a 25mph zone. The officer attempted to conduct an enforcement stop and the vehicle failed to yield, accelerating to approximately 70 mph.
After failing to negotiate a turn, the driver collided into a railroad crossing sign. The driver fled on foot but got stuck in a wrought iron fence and was quickly taken into custody without incident. Inside the vehicle, officers located scales, over a thousand dollars in cash, baggies and more than 100 grams of cocaine. The driver was arrested and booked into Yolo County Jail.”…
