Drivers urged to plan ahead as FDOT announces multiple construction projects impacting major roadways across Pinellas County.
PINELLAS COUNTY, Fla. – Drivers in Pinellas County should brace for significant traffic delays next week, as the Florida Department of Transportation (FDOT) District 7 has announced a series of extensive lane closures across several major roadways. The closures, scheduled from Sunday, July 27, through Saturday, August 2, 2025, are part of ongoing construction and maintenance projects and will affect both daytime and nighttime travel.
Commuters utilizing I-175 in St. Petersburg can expect nightly lane closures between 16th Street S and 4th Street S from 7 p.m. to 7 a.m., Sunday through Saturday.
North County drivers on ALT US 19 will encounter multiple daytime closures. From Monday, July 28, to Friday, August 1, ALT US 19 (Pinellas Avenue) at Anclote Road/Coquina Drive will have lane closures from 8 a.m. to 6 p.m. Further south, ALT US 19 from Meres Boulevard to Tampa Road will see closures from 7 a.m. to 7 p.m. during the same weekday period…
