IRVING, TX — Dallas County Health and Human Services has confirmed that five additional mosquito traps in Irving have tested positive for the West Nile Virus. The latest positive results come from traps located in ZIP codes 75038, 75039, 75061, and 75062.
The City of Irving continues year-round mosquito control efforts and will conduct targeted spraying in the affected areas. Truck-mounted ultralow volume (ULV) fogging is scheduled nightly from 9 p.m. to 4 a.m., weather permitting.
Recent treatment dates and areas (based on Spay Zone locations) include:
- July 21: IRV-16, IRV-40, IRV-52, and IRV-55
- July 10: IRV-3, IRV-45, and IRV-57
- June 30: IRV-2, IRV-17, and IRV-59
- June 12: IRV-10 and IRV-25
- May 23: IRV-25
