Lincoln bug enthusiasts celebrate Moth Night at Pioneers Park

LINCOLN, Neb. (KOLN) – If you didn’t already know, this week is National Moth Week, celebrating the practice of observing, photographing, identifying and documenting moths for science, or for fun.

To teach Nebraskans more about our native moths and other nocturnal insects, the Pioneers Park Nature Center hosted a Moth Night on Thursday evening.

It’s the third year the center has put on the event, taking place at the historic Cunningham Schoolhouse in Pioneers Park, where bug enthusiasts got together and explored the nearby prairie…
