Douglas County Sheriff’s Office clears sergeant in Janidi Ibrahim shooting death

OMAHA, Neb. (WOWT) – The Douglas County Sheriff’s Office has exonerated Sgt. Jesse Ronk of any wrongdoing in a May shooting that left 19-year-old Janidi Ibrahim dead.

DCSO issued a report Friday on the internal investigation, saying the examination showed that Ronk “acted appropriately” and that “proper communication and deconfliction took place.”

“This use of force led Ronk to reasonably believe that his life, and lives of the public, were in jeopardy should he fail to act quickly,” the report states…
