The National Weather Service has extended its heat advisory for the Ozarks through 7 pm on Tuesday as dangerously hot and humid conditions are expected to linger for the coming days.
Afternoons will remain oppressive with daily heat index values ranging from 100 to 107 degrees.
Cooler weather is expected to arrive towards the tail of next week. The heat dome will start to loosen its grip over the Ozarks, allowing for the chance for cold fronts and rain once we get closer to August.
Until then, stay cool and please keep an eye on those more susceptible to the heat…
